For this event we are setting up multi-language stream as well.
Translators will join the below zoom link to watch the live video instead of watching on livestream and will join the below RC meeting link to translate. This will help us to maintain the video and audio sync and also the translators will know what is happening live.
The translators need to follow the below guidelines while joining the call:
- Join the zoom meeting with your video disabled and mic muted
- In RingCentral Mute yourself when the lead teacher is chanting or offering a blessing
- AVOID speaking with other translators on the RingCentral line as this gets recorded as well
- Have one of your team member to monitor how you sound in livestream and adjust your tone and pace as per the feedback you receive.
- We have had some echo issues with few translators who are using the same computer for both Zoom and Ringcentral. The audio that you hear in zoom is leaking back into your mic somehow, which in theory shouldn’t happen. Use two different devices, if you can. If you are using one device and if you are told that there is an echo, Cover your mic with your hands and this reduces or eliminates the echo. Try bringing down the volume of your earpiece/headphones as well.
- To identify who the translator(s) are for each language please follow this naming “language first name last name” Eg: “German Sabine Hofmann”, “French Christelle Scarfone”
