Tao Calligraphy is Oneness writing. Each calligraphy is created in one continuous stroke from start to end. Please read the instructions to the left, trace the calligraphy to the right for several minutes, and note any changes in your mood, thoughts, physical body, or more. You may feel something right away, or nothing as yet. Whatever your response is, all is well. Every person perceives Tao Calligraphy in his or her unique way.

Born in Northwest China, Cecilia comes from a prominent family of two highly educated parents. Her mother, now retired, was always the top student in her class and earned a college degree during a time and in a culture that urged young women to marry early and raise a family. Her late father was a professor of chemistry who also held a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Cecilia remembers her father as being soft- spoken and well respected. Whether he was in a large family gathering or in a corporate setting, Cecilia recalls hearing most extraneous conversations coming to a stop whenever her father spoke. He was a corporate leader in all aspects and gained a notable reputation for turning failing companies around to profitability in a matter of two to three years.

Ever since she was a child, Cecilia was captivated by her father’s dignity and intelligence. She admired him greatly and always held him in the highest regard. She revered him as her role model throughout her youth and adulthood. Even at the age of six, when most children enjoyed watching cartoons, Cecilia enjoyed reading business news. She also envisioned building capsule hotels long before the thought became a reality in countries like Japan.

Due to her parents’ success, school life for Cecilia was not simple and carefree. She felt enormous pressure to succeed in the same way both her parents had. Her father and mother were always first in their class, and young Cecilia felt the need to be as productive in her educational endeavors. Indeed, anything below 95% was unacceptable to her parents. With this strict upbringing, Cecilia learned to harness the strength to do whatever it took to pave the road to success. This high standard for education and her personal work ethic carried her through many fascinating experiences in life.

She studied International Finance in college, worked in a state-owned medical company after graduation, moved on to work at a foreign venture company, and then traveled to Germany to continue graduate studies in International Business in the European School of Business at Reutlingen University, a highly ranked German business school. She then traveled to the United States and received her MBA in three concentrations, Strategic Management, Financial Management, and Operational Management, from California State University in one and a half years with a 3.8+ GPA, earning a place of highest honor on the National Chancellor’s List.

Soon after, she accepted a job with Siemens in the healthcare sector. Based on her outstanding performance, she moved up quickly and eventually traveled back to Germany, becoming a high-level managerial board member at its corporate headquarters. This was an extraordinary accomplishment for a foreigner first and foremost, and then for a woman second. From the perspective of most people in Germany, reaching this level of achievement in a worldwide company as large as Siemens is a dream come true and something to always cherish.

Then, in 2008, Cecilia learned about Master Sha and met him for the first time at an expo in San Francisco. His presentation caught her attention and opened her heart and soul to greater possibilities and new horizons. Cecilia eventually met with the business team and offered her assistance on a casual basis. Several years went by as Cecilia worked diligently at Siemens, helping to bring the company to greater heights. In her final year at Siemens, the corporate giant reached historical records with worldwide performance. Feeling she had given back all the favor she received from Siemens, Cecilia opened her heart further and further, endured enormous personal testing, and finally reached a point where she could commit her entire service to Master Sha and his work. (Editor’s note: Master Sha promptly rejected her offer, but that is a story for another day.)

Recently, Cecilia came fully on board to assist Master Sha on the business team, where she now plays an integral role.

As a Grandmaster of Tao Calligraphy, Cecilia has a clear vision for everyone to come to know more deeply what Tao Calligraphy is, to discover one’s true self, and eventually find true peace and joy in the presence of Tao.

Cecilia explains that Tao Calligraphy is the carrier of Tao. Tao is the source, Tao is oneness, Tao is where everyone comes from and is going back to, Tao is the way, and Tao is the ultimate truth. Writing and tracing Tao Calligraphy changes all our Shen Qi Jing – all of our soul, heart, mind, and body.  It changes how we think, how we act, how we are, and then, when our state of being changes, everything we do will change. This is the solution for all life. During a Tao Chang Tao Calligraphy Healing Evening, certified Master Teacher of Tao Academy™, Cecilia Liu chose Barbara as the subject for a Tao Calligraphy healing demonstration. The purpose was to show the power of correction with Tao Calligraphy.

Cecilia asked Barbara to walk a few times in front of the audience. Everyone saw how difficult it was for Barbara to walk and saw the wincing of pain in her facial expression. She then asked Barbara for a number from one (minimal) to ten (intense) that described her level of discomfort. Barbara said it was a 10+.

Cecilia then instructed Barbara to write the Tao Calligraphy, Da, on the water paper. Everyone was asked to take note of the structural imbalances in Barbara’s writing. Cecilia shared how Barbara’s writing reflected the pain within her body.  As a Tao Calligraphy Grandmaster, she then wrote over Barbara’s writing, essentially correcting the structure of the calligraphy that Barbara wrote.  After a few minutes of continuous tracing and chanting, Cecilia asked Barbara to walk the same path as she did earlier.

To everyone’s surprise and joy, Barbara stood up straighter and walked with confidence.  She walked smoothly without a single sign of pain, and eventually put aside the cane that she depended on for many months.

Everyone in the room rejoiced and celebrated what had unfolded before their eyes.  Feelings of deepest gratitude, happiness and reverence for beloved Master Sha, Tao, Source, and more filled the room.  The experience was completely awe-inspiring. Barbara and the participants were enormously grateful to Cecilia, and were heart-touched and humbled beyond words.

Everyone clearly understood how Tao Calligraphy can open doors to success, happiness, good health, and so much more as long as we trust, practice and believe in its powerful presence.

Until this day, beloved Barbara Sambueno remains cane free!

My first symptom was a cough, and then chills, fever, body aches, breathing problems, chest tightness, and extreme exhaustion ensued. At that time, hospitals where I live were overwhelmed, and the advice was to stay home if at all possible. I was blessed to receive a Tao Calligraphy to trace, and I traced as much as I could. Without the strength to sit up very long, I would trace while I was lying down and gradually felt better. When I stopped tracing, I experienced setbacks, and then would start tracing more.

One day I woke up feeling like a different person with more energy, a clearer mind, normal temperature, and only a slight cough, which then faded away. I still continue to trace to boost my immunity and to maintain the health I appreciate more than ever. Words are not enough to express my gratitude for Tao Calligraphy and Master Sha. I encourage anyone who is suffering from pain or illness, or just wants to maintain good health, to try this simple, but powerful, practice.
